The aim of the Blackham Events team is to create affordable, fun, inclusive events and occasions that bring people together from every corner of the village of Blackham.
Events are designed to encourage people to take part in shared activity, get to know neighbours, celebrate local and national initiatives together, enhance personal wellbeing, and sustain a thriving community.
There is a positive emphasis on drawing people in from the community who may not naturally engage but with no pressure to attend – community events do not suit all, and this is respected. We do endeavour to ensure that events are promoted to all areas of the community without exception.
Where opportunities present themselves we will work collaboratively with other village groups and entities such as the Village Hall, the Church, and any other groups within our community.
The events planned are for all villagers who are resident in Blackham (with a Blackham address). Groups for which events are planned include:
· Families (open to relatives of any age of people resident in Blackham)
· Families and Friends (open to relatives and friends of any age of people resident on Blackham)
· Adults Only (adults aged 18 and above resident in Blackham)
· Children Only (young people aged 14 and under in the village of Blackham).
